Hot Wheels
Hot Wheels small and model cars, tracks, track accessories
The toy car was born in 1968.
From an idea driven by the competitor at the time, Matchbox's models were able to roll much faster on the track.
This was due to its re-designed wheels and axle.
In the first year (1968) 16 different models were released, RedLine, which referred to red stripes on wheels.
The first 16 cars:
Custom Cougar,
Custom Mustang,
Custom T-bird,
Custom Camaro,
Silhouette,
Deora I,
Custom Barracuda,
Custom Firebird,
Custom Fleetside,
Ford J-Car,
Custom Corvette,
Python, Beatnik Bandit,
Custom Eldorado,
Hot Heap,
Custom Volkswagen,
The first version of the redline was manufactured between 1968 and 1977.
The second version was released in 1973 and was produced in parallel with the first.
This was also used by Hot Wheels until 1977.
Up to now, 66 different wheel variants have been produced, many of which are still being used today.
